We have heard your comments and questions about wanting to have the EQC locations released earlier and we agree. That is why we are already releasing the bid packages for the 2021 editions.
What does this mean?
From today on, we are opening a pre-wave for bid applications. That means that you are welcome to send us your bid and we will tell you what you need to improve, if your venue is good or not and anything else that will help you.
The pre-wave for D2 ends on March 30th 2020, immediately after European Quidditch Cup 2020 D2 finishes. Applications will be welcomed from that day on. We will accept bids for the D2 wave until May 5th, 2020 and hope to announce the winning location shortly after that.
The pre-wave for D1 ends on May 5th, 2020, immediately after European Quidditch Cup 2020 D1 finishes. Applications will be welcomed from that day on. We will accept bids for the D1 wave until June 31st, 2020 and hope to announce the winning location shortly after that.
Both divisions will host 32 teams. There is no longer any restriction on countries hosting EQC two times in a row. Nor is there a restriction on organizing both EQCs in the same country.
We have added an example of a good bid so it will be easier for all of you to know what is the task ahead. All bids must be send to quidditcheurope@gmail.com. Questions can be sent on Facebook, or also through the contact form on the website.
