There is parking available at the venue. The amount of parking spaces is plenty.

Facilities

The venue has multiple natural and artificial grass football fields.

The event will see 3 football pitches for 6 quadball fields for Division 1 2 and 4 football pitches for 8 quadball fields for Division 1 (all artificial grass and close to the stands).

Please keep in mind that no iron/metal studs will be allowed on any of the fields. Make sure to bring appropriate equipment/footwear in accordance with this regulation.

Stay&Play at Cambrils Park Resort

EQC2025 will be using a mandated Stay&Play policy. All athletes and team staff must stay at Cambrils Park Resort.

Located just 10 minutes walking distance from the Mediterranean Sports Hub – Futbol Salou, you can find the resort, specially designed to accommodate all types of athletes. After an intense day of games, there is nothing better than resting in a comfortable, clean and private accommodation.

There are a variety of pools you can chill at, a fitness and spa area, and a sports area. The resort is divided into three areas: the Mediterranean, Polynesia, and the Caribbean.

The Stay&Play policy is in place to use the Salou Sports Center at a hefty discount. Not using the Resort would result in much higher fees.

Checking In

It will be possible to check in to the resort from 16:00 h each day.

If any person is arriving before Friday, they will have to check in at Reception #2 (in the West).

Arriving on any other date (starting from & including Friday), you have to check in at Reception #1 (in the South)

On check-in, expect to have to show your ID and tell which team you’re affiliated with (aka which Booking Sheet you were on).

Once checked in, you’ll receive your key card, the number of your accommodation & instructions on how to get to your bungalow/apartment. Please be responsible!

Breakfast & Dinner

There will be a specific difference between food slots on non-tournament days and tournament days (Saturday & Sunday).

The buffet will always be served at Fòrum, the big red building on the map next to the biggest pool.

On non-tournament days, the Resort has assigned individuals a slot for both breakfast & dinner, based on your check-in and check-out date-times. These slots last ~45 minutes. This should be communicated on check-in, but we should also already be able to tell you this in a few days.

On tournament days, the organisation will assign you a slot for breakfast & dinner, based on your first game & last game of each of the days. The breakfast slot will last ~30 minutes. The dinner slot will last about ~45 minutes.

Access to the Tournament Facilities

On tournament days, you will be able to use your key card to open the gate ‘Futbol Salou access’ (in the East).

From there, you just walk the road for ~15 minutes until you find the tournament facilities on your left.

Checking Out

People will be expected to check out before 11:00 h in the morning. However, once checked out, you may still use the facilities on site.

On the day of the departure, all accommodation(s) must be vacated and left in perfect condition. The key(card)s must be deposited at the reception.

If necessary, the reception will provide space to store luggage until your eventual departure.

Gameplay Information

All details of gameplay can be found on its respective pages:

Rulebook & Policies

The event will be played with the current international rulebook (find the IQA Rulebook 2024 here: https://www.iqasport.org/play/rulebook/) with some changes.

Change 1: Players have to stop balls when they go to their subbox. Rule 1.4.3 Sideline interference will be amended as follows:

1.4.3 Sideline interference

Substitutes and team staffers must not commit sideline interference.

  1. It is intentional sideline interference if a substitute or team staffer directly affects play when any of the following is are true:
    1. The substitute or team staffer is intentionally and illegally outside of the substitution area, team bench and coaching area.
    2. The substitute or team staffer failed to make every reasonable effort to avoid the play other than legally stopping a ball.
    3. The substitute or team staffer failed to make a reasonable effort to stop any ball in the substitution area or team bench from going further off pitch.
  2. If the play or failure to reasonable effort was unintentional and did not bring an advantage to the own team, the substitute or team staffer may instead be penalized for sideline interference in place of intentional sideline interference.

Change 2: The game time is limited to 45 Minutes. In the rulebook, in section 3.5 Ending the game and overtime the following rule is added:

3.5.5 Game Time Limit

The game shall be limited to a maximum length of 45 minutes of game time.

  1. The timekeeper shall announce the amount of time remaining in the game at the following intervals: 40:00, 41:00, 42:00, 43:00, 44:00, 44:30 and then count down from 44:45 to the time cap.
  2. If the teams are tied in score at 45 minutes then the winning team will be the team that caught the flag. If neither team has caught the flag, the result will be decided by the following tiebreakers:
    1. Lowest sum of Yellow Cards plus Red Cards
    2. Fewest Blue Cards
    3. Coin Toss

The event committee can decide to remove the time limit from games, for example from semifinals and finals, if the schedule allows.

Change 3: The game starts with a whistle blast instead of a verbal “sticks up” call. Rule 3.2.2 Sticks up procedure will be amended as follows:

3.2.2 Sticks up procedure

  1. A few seconds after the head referee calls “ready” the head referee then blows a strong whistle.
    1. On the sound of this “sticks up” whistle all players must immediately mount their sticks and begin play.

All other mentions of the sticks up procedure are adjusted accordingly.

You can find all gameplay policies here:

No Smoking Policy

Smoking and vaping is forbidden on the whole sports venue during this event, including (but not limited to) pitches, spectator areas, and walking paths.

To smoke or vape, please go and remain in the parking lot or next to the main street and do not throw any cigarettes on the ground.

Smoking and/or vaping on the venue and/or throwing cigarettes on the ground anywhere around the venue will be penalized with a fee of 100 € for each violation of this policy. Repeated violation will additionally lead to an event ban.

Resort Buffet Wristbands

The wristbands given out at check-in at the resort are forbidden equipment during games for safety reasons (i.e. red card if worn during a game).

We recommend not putting them on the arm in a non removable manner. Our recommendation is to either attach them loose enough to remove them for games or put them around one leg instead of an arm and safely cover them in the sock during game.

Officials Quota

No game can take place without officials. Therefore we are currently working hard on getting as many non-playing officials to attend EQC so you and your players can focus on playing.

However, we expect to have significantly fewer non-playing officials for this EQC compared to previous years because usually most non-playing officials are playing in the other Division, i.e. a non-playing official at Division 1 is/was playing at Division 2 and vice versa. Therefore, for this EQC, we will be very reliant on playing officials so that every team gets to play their games fairly and in a properly officiated manner.

For this, there will be a quota of officials that every team regardless of Division needs to fulfill. This quota will be as follows:

With a Head RefereeWithout a Head RefereeMandatory Equipment (*)Mandatory Certifications
1x Head RefereeFull set of penalty cards, working whistle, referee jerseyHead Referee 2024
2x Assistant Referee2x Assistant RefereeReferee jerseyAssistant Referee 2024

Goal Judge: none

*) Can either be the officials personal equipment or be provided by the team for their officials.

**) Flag Referees will be used as an additional Assistant Referee prior to the Flag Runner entering the field.

***) Every team will be required to field their mandatory number of Flag Runners at all times during the event. This means that should your team’s dedicated Flag Runner(s) no longer be capable of fulfilling this duty (e.g. due to injury or the person having to leave the event early), then one or two replacements from your team must report to the committee to fill this role and (D1 only:) show their certification.

****) Every team is required to leave behind 2 people after every game (or in each day’s first slot if scheduled) to fill the positions of Timekeeper, Scorekeeper, and Goal Judges for the subsequent game on the pitch who have been listed for these positions on the team’s roster. These people must report to the Pitch Manager immediately at the end of their team’s game (after end of game greetings but before any end of game team debriefings) and are required to remain at the pitch. The Pitch Manager will decide which position each volunteer will fill, usually going by the game schedule, but has the right to change if necessary to avoid game delays.

Any person (playing or non-playing) having any position on their team’s quota must have the necessary certifications at the time of their check-in at the resort before tournament start.

Any person (playing or non-playing) having any position on their team’s quota that is scheduled as Referee or Flag Runner must check-in with the Pitch Manager at the pitch 10 minutes before scheduled game starting time and must have all their mandatory equipment with them.

The venue needs to know the estimated number of people coming to the social so they can decide how much floor space to open, as the place at full capacity is huge. I kindly ask you all to get your tickets before the Friday of your division to make our (especially my) life easier.

We would further ask, to make life even simpler, NGBs to gather the team’s payments and send us a single payment with the breakdown of each team. But, of course, if not possible, please send your team’s payment directly to the bank account used for other payments.

During the Saturday and Sunday, I will have your tickets ready at Committee HQ, where you can send someone to pick them up.

Finally, to keep a better track of all info, please fill out this form with the tickets you need.
